Promotion

Windows 10 automatically installs some games, third-party apps, and app links from the Windows Store for the logged in user.

In this post, I want to show you how to prevent them from loading by enabling the Group Policy setting using the group policy editor or the registry editor: Turn off Microsoft Consumer Experiences.

How you disable the Microsoft Consumer Experience depends on the version of Windows 10 you are using. If you have the Home edition, you can only set this policy through the registry editor, but if you have the Pro, Enterprise, or Educational edition, you can use the Group Policy Editor.

Undoubtedly the most recommended way to implement this policy is to use the Group Policy editor, to do this follow the instructions below:

1. Open Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc).2. Go to the following branch:3. Local Computer Policy >> Administrative Templates >> Windows Components >> Cloud Content.4. On the right, double-click or double-tap Turn off Microsoft consumer experience. Select Enabled.6. Click OK when finished.7. Quit the Local Group Policy Editor. You may need to restart the computer for the change to take effect.

Or you can try this-

You can also disable Microsoft Consumer Experiences in the Windows Registry Editor as follows:

1. Run Registry Editor (RegEdit).2. Navigate to the following Registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREPoliciesMicrosoftWindowsCloudContent3. After selecting CloudContent.5, find DisableWindowsConsumerFeatures in the right pane. Set Dword’s value to 1.6. Quit Registry Editor. You may need to restart the computer for the change to take effect.

It also helps reduce disk usage, so I recommended disabling this service.
